DEKTON

Dekton is currently the best option for households looking for a virtually indestructible kitchen counter material that’s available in an ever-growing range of colors and styles.

  • Dekton kitchen counters from Cosentino are resistant to just about anything, including abrasion, scratches, impacts, stains (coffee, wine, lemon juice, etc.) and heat (even hot casseroles straight out of the oven)
  • Available in a variety of colors and styles, in ultra-matte or high-gloss finishes
  • Easy to maintain, with no sealants or complicated procedures required
  • Near-zero porosity inhibits the growth of bacteria
  • A revolution in the kitchen industry, Dekton won’t be damaged by bleach, abrasive cleaning products or oven degreasers
  • Slightly more expensive than quartz, Dekton is worth looking into

Dekton is a new, ultra-compact material, made up of a mixture of quartz, glass and porcelain that’s compressed at high temperatures to form an extremely durable, non-porous surface. Dekton is so strong that it’s even available in thicknesses as low as ¾ inch.

CORIAN

Available in a wide variety of colors, Corian by DuPont is a totally synthetic material that can be used to create large single-piece countertops. It’s an ideal solution for kitchens that require multiple sections. With Corian, there are no visible joints, as the pieces are heat-fused together on-site. This kitchen counter material, which is less resistant to heat, is also available in half-inch thickness.
